CATHEDRAL CITY, CA [October 17, 2019] With increased security measures, both northbound and southbound traffic of Cathedral Canyon Drive between Perez Road and East Palm Canyon Drive (Highway 111) in Cathedral City will be temporarily closed and re-routed on Thursday, October 24, 2019 between 3:00 pm and approximately 5:00 pm due to the annual Cathedral City High School Homecoming Parade in Downtown Cathedral City. The parade begins at 4:30 p.m.
Motorists should use an alternate route such as Date Palm Drive and expect traffic delays due to the detour of traffic from this major north – south artery. Access to area businesses will be limited to secondary streets. Public parking for the Homecoming Parade is available at the City Downtown Parking Garage with access to enter and exit from Officer David Vasquez Road (see map for more details).
