The balloon festival brings more than 30 hot air balloons from across the United States and around the world to the Coachella Valley for a kaleidoscope of color, art, sound and enjoyment. The festival kicks-off on Friday morning at 6:00 am for the “Balloon Launch & Race” at D.R. Horton at Verano, 67-840 Rio Vista Drive, Cathedral City. Watch up to 30 hot air balloons launch and fly over the desert. Free admission. Afterwards, take a peek at the new model homes offered by DR Horton, America’s Largest Homebuilder, while you enjoy free coffee and donuts while supplies last. Free admission. Free parking.
Parking Instructions: Park near the model homes located at 67-840 Rio Vista Drive in north Cathedral City. Look for the free shuttle that will drive you up to the balloon launch site.
Arrive around 6 am. Balloons will launch around 6:45 am if weather and FAA permits. Afterwards, enjoy the model homes, free refreshments.
