Riverside County announced today that it has activated the Type III All-Hazard Incident Management Team (IMT) to help coordinate the planning and implementation of a massive vaccination program for more than two million county residents. This will allow for the vaccination of thousands each day once the sites are located, opened and fully operating.
The IMT will work seven days a week to secure locations and stand up large, regional Point-of-Dispensing (POD) sites. The sites will be announced once they are finalized.
Vaccinations are currently being provided to healthcare workers in Phase 1a, Tier 1 through Tier 3. Riverside County has also provided a time estimate of the various phases of vaccine distribution.
