Govern Newsom announced today that Seniors age 65 and older can now get the COVID-19 vaccine in an attempt to speed up the distribution and get healthcare workers and those most vulnerable vaccinated right away. This will help in slowing the spread and reduce the number of patients needing hospitalization.
In response, Riverside County announced new COVID-19 vaccine clinics for all Phase 1a (all tiers) and Phase 1b (tier 1) as well as individuals 65 years of age and older. The clinics will provide vaccines free of charge, however those who show up will be required to register prior to arrival and show proof of eligibility (badge, business identification, letter of proof from employer). Medical insurance information will be requested. Those 65 and older who need assistance making an appointment can call the Riverside County Office of Aging at (800) 510-2020 or 2-1-1.

The following locations will have walk-up vaccine clinics starting Jan. 14. Hours of operation 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
(There will be no clinics Monday, January 18 because of Martin Luther King holiday.)
