KMIR (NBC) Highlights the Cathedral City Cove Historic Homes and Artists Tour Plus Theater Square Market
This past weekend, we had two great events that brought people from across the Coachella Valley to Cathedral City – the Agnes Pelton Society’s Cathedral Cove Historic Homes & Artists Tour and the Theater Square Market.
With a record crowd attendance, the tour featured 5 historic homes and 10 artists studios throughout the Cathedral Cove neighborhood. Attendees got to view the historic homes and admire the work of professional photographers, sculptors and painters who live in our great city.
The Cove neighborhood has a rich history of artists who chose to locate there and a flourishing long list of artists, some estimate 40 plus, who live there today. As you tour each home, you begin to understand why this location has drawn so many artists as you gaze out to the natural beauty that surrounds it.
Attendees also got a first-hand look at the new festival lawn in downtown as they came to the booth to pick up their tour tickets. They enjoyed looking at the vendor booths and eating at one of the gourmet food trucks.
Here’s the story KMIR ran late last night and this morning:
