City of Cathedral City Residents, Employees and Organizations Shine on City Hall Selfie Day!

The City of Cathedral City, Cathedral City Police and Cathedral City Fire Department were excited to join Engaging Local Government Leaders for #CityHallSelfie Day, a worldwide celebration of local government on Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2023.

The City would like to extend a special thank you to the Boys & Girls Club of Cathedral City, PACE Commission Vice Chair Antonio Baciu, and Leonard Rick Travis, Commissioner on the City's Public Arts Commission, for participating on social media.

#CityHallSelfie Day is a celebration of public service showcasing pride in local government institutions. Every year since 2016, government employees, elected officials, members of the media, and community members have participated in the event.

#CityHallSelfie Day is organized by ELGL, Engaging Local Government Leaders, a professional association for people who work in and with local government.

About – ELGL

Engaging Local Government Leaders (ELGL) is an “accidental professional association” that began in Portland, Oregon in 2012 with a 16 member dinner group. Today, ELGL has grown to over 4800 members from all 50 states plus Canada, UK, Israel, and Australia.

Focused on all levels of local government (from analysts to mayors; librarians to planners; and everyone in between), ELGL’s mission is to engage the brightest minds in local government by providing timely and relevant content through podcasts, blogs, webinars, social media, learning cohorts and conference gatherings, with the objective of fostering authentic and meaningful connections that are grounded in practices of equity and inclusion.
