Date Palm Drive between I-10 and Varner Road Is Open to Traffic
The City of Cathedral City is proud to announce that Date Palm Drive between the Interstate 10 interchange and Varner Road is back open to thru traffic. Crews will be finishing work this week on striping the traffic lanes including a dedicated striped bike lane in each direction.
Motorists will notice a new twelve-foot median added to improve safety between the different directional traffic.
In the future, the medians will be improved as development occurs and turn lanes are needed.
The Cathedral City Community Development Department has also reported that the project will be completed on-time and under budget.
