Hundreds of people joined the City Council, City Staff, former and current Park Commissioners to celebrate the completion of the $5 million, 5 acre Ocotillo Park that has been in the planning, bidding, and building process for more than 5 years.
Beautiful weather allowed for a fantastic time with the Opening Ceremony, the Ribbon Cutting, Skateboard Demonstrations & Contest by Epidemic Skateboard Company, and tasty treats from Agape Church and Wienerschnitzel Restaurant. Attendees also got to workout to High Fitness with Cathedral City Dynamic Dance & Fitness and listen to Cathedral City’s local musical favorite, Avenida Band. Plus, one lucky resident won a brand new Schwinn bicycle!
