Cathedral City Public Arts Commission’s 3rd Annual Student Awards – This Saturday – Open to Public
On Saturday, May 14th, the Cathedral City Public Arts Commission will be holding its 3rd Annual Cathedral City High School D.A.T.A. Awards Competition for students in the Visual Arts. Awards will be announced for the top three winners in two categories: Best Still Photography and Best Video.
1st place prize winner in each category will receive a gift card valued at $350
2nd place prize winner in each category will receive a gift card for $200
3rd place prize winner in each category will receive a gift card for $100
The awards event will take place at the Mary Pickford Theatre, 2 pm (the exact screen location will be posted in the lobby of the theatre). The top movie nominations for best video will be featured on the big screen as well as 11 nominees for best photo.
Immediately following the awards ceremony, refreshments will be served on the 2nd floor Mezzanine where the students’ photos will be on display. After the event, the photos will be moved for display to the lobby of city hall for an extended period. Please join the commission and students for this free event open to the public.
