CATHEDRAL CITY, CA [May 24, 2016] The campaign for Presidential Candidate, U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders has announced that it will be holding a political rally at Big League Dreams Sports Park, 33700 Date Palm Drive, in Cathedral City on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at 12:00 pm (noon). Security gates will open at approximately 10 a.m. Thousands are expected to attend the rally, which may cause traffic delays at and near the intersection of Date Palm Drive and Dinah Shore Drive as pedestrians utilize the crosswalks. Law enforcement will be onsite to help direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic in order to create safe passage.
Residents may also experience delays getting to and from Cathedral City’s main U.S. Post Office and the Cathedral City Library at the corner of Date Palm Drive and Kelley Road.
Motorists who want to avoid any delays should utilize Ramon Road or East Palm Canyon Drive for east and west bound routes and Cathedral Canyon Drive for north and south bound routes.
