Mayor Pro Tem Greg Pettis Discusses the Importance of Reducing Air Pollution in the L.A. Basin
This past week, Cathedral City’s Mayor Pro Tem Greg Pettis had an opportunity to throw out the first pitch during the Los Angeles Dodgers’ game. Prior to the game, he was able to communicate the importance of Mobile Source Air Pollution Reduction Review Committee (MSRC) he chairs. The Committee was honored at the game for removing more than 1 million cars from the roadways through its collaboration in offering the Dodgers Express bus service.
Cleaning the air in the Los Angeles basin has a dramatic influence on the air quality here in the Coachella Valley. Not only does it reduce air pollution, it also helps improve the health of those affected by it.
