Cathedral City’s Halloween Spooktacular at FallFest – This Sunday

The City of Cathedral City celebrates its 2nd Annual Halloween Spooktacular on Sunday, October 30th from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm in Downtown Cathedral City in front of City Hall (68700 Avenida Lalo Guerrero – adjacent to the Mary Pickford Theatre).

Presented by Volkswagen of Palm Springs, Halloween Spooktacular is a safe communities, Halloween event for the entire family featuring trick or treating for kids, DJ music, public safety exhibits from the Cathedral City Police and Fire Departments, hourly costume contests, family resource organizations and the “Haunted Bus” by Sunline Transit Agency. Children will receive a limited number of free trick or treat bags so that they can go home and celebrate with their family in their own neighborhoods on Monday evening.

Halloween Spooktacular is a great opportunity for families to interact with public safety personnel and get up close to fire trucks, police vehicles, and police motorcycle patrols. This creates an opportunity for residents to connect with public safety officials to build safe communities in Cathedral City.

The event also features hourly costume contest. The City has donated several bicycles to be raffled during the festivities. Teamed up with La Michoacana Ice Cream Parlor and Candy Store, the City plans to giveaway nearly a pallet of candy!

Following Halloween Spooktacular, the Mary Pickford Theatre is offering a free screening of “Hotel Transylvania” on a first-come, first-serve basis beginning at 4:15 p.m. Line passes for the free screening are available steps away from Halloween Spooktacular at the Mary Pickford Theatre’s Box Office beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, October 30, 2016.

It will be a Spooktacular time!
