The City of Cathedral City, KESQ ABC 3, and GED Magazine are hosting a FREE Live Screening of the miniseries “When We Rise” starting February 27th from 9 pm to 11 pm at the Mary Pickford Theatre in Downtown Cathedral City.
“When We Rise” is an 8-hour miniseries produced and directed by Gus Van Sant that will air on ABC starting on Monday, February 27, March 1-3 for 4 nights during prime time. Not since the miniseries, Roots, has ABC blocked out four nights on Prime Time to air a miniseries. The show is about the LGBT movement and to a degree the women’s rights movement in San Francisco starting in 1971 to 2015 focusing on three LGBT civil rights activists.
