Cathedral City Council Appoints John Aguilar To Fill the Vacant Council Seat
After much deliberation and community input, the City Council of Cathedral City appointed John Aguilar to fill the fifth seat on the City Council vacated as a result of Councilmember Stan Henry becoming Mayor of Cathedral City in the recent November General Election.
Eleven applicants applied to fill the vacancy and interviewed for the position in today’s open, transparent public meeting.
John Aguilar was previously appointed to the City Council in September to fill a previous vacancy when a seat was vacated then.
This appointed council seat term will continue through December 2016.
