The CERT program trains and organizes teams of volunteers to provide assistance to their communities before, during, and after disasters.
CERT volunteers help themselves and their neighbors after disasters, when professional responders are not immediately available to help.
The CERT program educates participants about how to prepare for hazards that may impact their communities and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations.
The CERT training program is a twenty hours of instruction, presented in five sessions. The training is delivered in partnership with the Riverside County Emergency Management Department.
Participants must attend each class to become CERT trained.
