Cathedral City Fire & EMS Invites Community to Pancake Breakfast & Fire Prevention Open House on Oct. 12, 2024

Cathedral City Fire & EMS warmly invites the entire community to our annual Pancake Breakfast and Fire Prevention Open House on Saturday, Oct. 12, 2024, from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Join us at Fire Station 2, located at 32100 Desert Vista Road, Cathedral City, for a hearty breakfast featuring pancakes, bacon, and sausage complimentary for all attendees.

The Pancake Breakfast will not only be a delicious start to the day, but it will also serve as a celebration of Fire Prevention Month! Join us as we come together to enjoy a morning of great food and camaraderie while also recognizing the importance of fire safety in our community. This event will provide an excellent opportunity to learn about fire prevention tips and resources, as well as engage with our local fire department. This event is not just about enjoying delicious food and learning about fire safety  it’s an opportunity for our community to come together for a great cause.

We will also be supporting two young brothers, Cruz and Rolando, who are bravely battling a rare disorder known as Shwachman–Diamond syndrome (SDS), or Shwachman–Bodian–Diamond syndrome, a rare congenital disorder characterized by exocrine pancreatic insufficiency, bone marrow dysfunction, skeletal and cardiac abnormalities. In a show of solidarity and support, we will host a Bone Marrow Donor Registration Drive during the event to help find a match for Cruz and Rolando’s life-saving transplants. With the participation of our community, we can make a meaningful impact in their lives.

Join Us for a Morning of Fun and Community Support

In addition to the breakfast, attendees will have the opportunity to meet our firefighters, tour Fire Station 2, and learn about vital fire prevention and safety tips. It’s a perfect chance for families to engage with our fire department and gain valuable knowledge to keep their homes and loved ones safe.

Event Highlights:

  • Free breakfast including pancakes, bacon, and sausage
  • Bone Marrow Donor Registration Drive for Cruz and Rolando
  • Fire station tours and fire safety education.
  • Fun activities for the family

We encourage everyone to come out, enjoy a wonderful breakfast, and help us show our support for Cruz and Rolando. Together, let’s demonstrate the strength and compassion of our Cathedral City community.
