Cathedral City Senior Center, Community Leaders Celebrate Dedication of the Richard G. And Anne K. Altman Craft Corner

The Cathedral City Senior Center recently celebrated the dedication of its newest addition – the Richard G. and Anne K. Altman Craft Corner – during a special ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2024. The new room promises to enhance the nonprofit’s existing arts and crafts program, providing local seniors with expanded opportunities for creative expression.

The Altman family’s generous contribution includes an array of art supplies and materials, strengthening the center’s ability to support artistic endeavors among its members. During the dedication ceremony, Cathedral City Mayor Mark Carnevale, Mayor Pro Tem Nancy Ross, and Councilmember Raymond Gregory presented Richard Altman with a special certificate, recognizing the family’s meaningful contribution to the community.

This dedicated space will serve as a creative hub where seniors can explore various artistic mediums and develop their creative talents. The addition of the Richard G. and Anne K. Altman Craft Corner also aligns with the Cathedral City Senior Center’s mission to provide engaging activities and meaningful opportunities for its members, fostering both creativity and social connection among the City’s senior population.
