Cathedral City residents are invited to attend the first public community open house on the Development Code Update. The City contracted with Mintier Harnish to be our Consultant Team and facilitate this participatory effort to update our Development Code.
This public open house is scheduled for Thursday March 13, 2025, beginning at 5:00 p.m. at the Cathedral City Senior Center at 37171 W. Buddy Rogers Avenue.
The open house will be drop-in so come when you can and leave when you need to. During the open house we will provide a general overview of the Development Code Update process, why the City is embarking on this effort, and ways the community can get involved. City staff and the Consultant team will also facilitate a discussion on issues and opportunities within the City as it pertains to zoning which will help guide the process.
Open house attendees will have the opportunity to complete brief questionnaires and ask questions of City staff and Consultant Team members.
A Spanish interpreter will be present and light refreshments will be available.

Acompáñanos a la primera reunión comunitaria abierta al público sobre la Actualización del Código de Desarrollo. La Ciudad ha contratado a Mintier Harnish como nuestro Equipo Consultor para facilitar este esfuerzo participativo para actualizar nuestro Código de Desarrollo.
Esta reunión pública está programada para el jueves 13 de marzo de 2025, comenzando a las 5:00 p.m. en el Centro para Personas Mayores de Cathedral City ubicado en 37171 W. Buddy Rogers Avenue.
La reunión será de formato abierto, así que puedes llegar cuando puedas e irte cuando lo necesites. Durante la reunión, proporcionaremos una visión general del proceso de Actualización del Código de Desarrollo, hablaremos de por qué la Ciudad está iniciando este esfuerzo y las formas en que la comunidad puede involucrarse. El personal de la Ciudad y el equipo Consultor también facilitarán una discusión sobre problemas y oportunidades dentro de la Ciudad en lo que respecta a la zonificación, lo cual ayudará a guiar el proceso.
Los asistentes a la reunión tendrán la oportunidad de completar breves cuestionarios y hacer preguntas al personal de la Ciudad y a los miembros del Equipo Consultor.
Habrá un intérprete de español presente y se ofrecerán refrigerios ligeros.
