Celebrate Butterflies & Pollinators at S.C.R.A.P. Gallery’s Free Butterfly Festival on Saturday, March 15, 2025

Prepare to be enchanted by the beauty and importance of butterflies at the annual Butterfly Festival on Saturday, March 15, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Panorama Park in Cathedral City.

This free family-friendly event celebrates butterflies and pollinators with activities designed to educate and inspire environmental conservation through art and hands-on experiences. The S.C.R.A.P. Gallery will host several creative activities including cotton ball planting, decorating mini terracotta pots, crafting butterfly wings, and creating recycled crafts.

Visitors to the Cathedral City Library booth can sign up for a library card, participate in crafts, and receive special giveaways. This year, attendees can pick up “River of Mariposas” by Mirelle Ortega, courtesy of Cathedral City Evening Rotary.

The festival will also feature a special ceremony with mayors from the National Wildlife Federation making a monarch butterfly pledge, followed by a butterfly release. Participants will have the opportunity to explore all activities and enter for a chance to win a bicycle.

The event coincides with the Butterfly Art Contest for students ages 6-17 from Mexico, the United States, and Canada. Winning artwork will be displayed at the festival in the S.C.R.A.P. Gallery.

Panorama Park is located at 28905 Avenida Maravilla, Cathedral City, CA 92234. The event is free to attend. For more information, contact info@scrapgallery.org.
