On Wednesday, the City Council voted unanimously to approve a two-year contract with Fantasy Balloon Flights to manage and operate the 2021 and 2022 Cathedral City Hot Air Balloon Festival and Food Truck Fiesta. The festival will take place each year on the weekend before Thanksgiving. In 2021, the dates will be November 19-21, 2021.
The balloon festival is the City’s most attended special event and will be celebrating its 7th year. It has been honored by Westways’ Magazine as the “Top 5 Worth the Drive” and “Best of the Best” festivals by Palm Springs Life.
In 2021, attendees can expect more than 30 hot air balloons, food trucks, art and merchant vendors, kid zone, LIVE musical entertainment, morning balloon launches and the extremely popular Saturday Night Balloon Glow to Music. More information about the festival will be forthcoming over the next few months.
