Residents in two neighborhoods will soon have fresh, new looking roads as the City Council voted last night to spend up to $1.6 million to resurface the streets. The two neighborhoods getting new streets are:
White Water Neighborhood – Phase II:
- Canyon Vista Road between Corral Road and 33rd Avenue
- Monte Vista Road between Corral Road and 33rd Avenue
- Aurora Vista Road between Corral Road and 33rd Avenue
- Desert Vista Road between Corral Road and 33rd Avenue
- Cielo Vista Road between Corral Road and 33rd Avenue
- Rancho Vista Drive between Corral Road and 33rd Avenue
- Via Colusa between Rancho Vista Drive and Date Palm Drive
Whispering Palms Neighborhood:
- Roundup Road from Ramon Road to Cathedral Canyon Drive
- Candlewood Drive between Ramon Road and Mission Indian Trail
- Mission Indian Trail
- Shifting Sands Trail between Mission Indian Trail and 33rd Avenue
- Whispering Palms Trail between Mission Indian Trail and 33rd Avenue
- Sky Blue Water Trail between Mission Indian Trail and 33rd Avenue
- Navajo Trail between Roundup Road and 33rd Avenue
- Avenida El Pueblo Trail between Roundup Road and 33rd Avenue
- Corral Road between Navajo Trail and Cathedral Canyon Drive
The contractor, Matich Corporation, plans to begin the road resurfacing work on these streets at the end of April and work through the month of May. It will most likely take about 30 days to complete the project. The City asks residents to observe street closure signs and no-parking notices to avoid automobiles being towed during the resurfacing work.
Having fresh, new streets will be worth the inconvenience of the construction work over the next month.
