City of Cathedral City Receives Award for Its Excellence in Financial Reporting
For the 10th year in a row, the City of Cathedral City under the leadership of the City’s Administrative Services Director Tami Scott has received the highest recognition by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) for its comprehensive annual financial reporting.
The City’s finance department was judged by an impartial panel and it found that Cathedral City achieved the highest standards for demonstrating the “spirit of full disclosure” and for clearly communicating its financial story. The award also honored Cathedral City for its structure that motivates potential users and users groups to read the comprehensive annual financial report for 2014.
