City of Cathedral City Wins the United Way 2016 Wellable City Team Challenge
Thanks to the community, city staff, and our elected officials, the City of Cathedral City won the 2016 Wellable City Team Challenge for the United Way’s Nine Cities Challenge. Everyone stepped-up to meet their individual goals in order to live healthy and thrive.
Cathedral City hosted the United Way Challenge at Dennis Keat Soccer Park back in August. The team continued to walk, run, hike, and workout to achieve points. Of all the nine cities in the Coachella Valley, our team scored the most points. Much recognition should go to Josie Meza, Executive Assistant to the City Manager, who lead our team with the most points and came in 2nd out of more than 300 participants.
