CONE ZONE ALERT: Date Palm Drive between I-10 and Varner Road Will Be Completely Closed August 3 – 14 for Reconstruction and Improvements
The City of Cathedral City will close Date Palm Drive between Interstate 10 interchange and Varner Road beginning on August 3, 2015 through August 14, 2015 in order to completely reconstruct and improve the road. Once completed, Date Palm Drive north of Interstate 10 and south of Varner Road will feature brand new pavement and a dedicated striped bike lane in each direction. A twelve foot median will also be added to improve safety between the different directional traffic.
The reconstruction and improvement project will not interfere with traffic at the Interstate 10 interchange with Date Palm Drive and it will not interfere with traffic on Varner Road.
Alternative routes to and from Interstate 10 and Varner Road include using Bob Hope Drive or Palm Drive.
