Dairy Queen Grill & Chill Held Its Grand Opening Today in Cathedral City

The first Dairy Queen Grill & Chill built from the ground up held its grand opening celebration today at its new location next to the Arco AMPM Fuel Station at the northeast corner of Vista Chino and Date Palm Drive in Cathedral City. Mayor Stan Henry, Mayor Pro Tem Greg Pettis, and City staff joined owners Mr. and Mrs. Nachhattar Chandi as well as other dignitaries to welcome the new restaurant to our city.

The new restaurant features all the great desserts of a Dairy Queen including its famous Blizzard treats, but also delicious quick serve meals such as specialty hamburgers, grilled chicken sandwiches, and a wonderful turkey BLT sandwich. The restaurant offers a $5 Buck Lunch combo meal that includes a choice of either two crispy chicken wraps, 3 piece chicken strips, or a deluxe cheeseburger plus crispy fries, a drink and a sundae for dessert. An amazing five-dollar deal!

A few minutes later, the same dignitaries walked across the parking lot to conduct a groundbreaking ceremony for a new Subway Restaurant being built by the Chandi Group that will join the $8 million development in our city.
