Today, April 1st is the U.S. Census Day! Wherever you are residing today is the place where you register for the U.S. Census. Be Counted, Cathedral City! It is incredibly important that every resident of Cathedral City gets counted for the U.S. Census. Each person counted in Cathedral City is estimated to bring $2,000 in federal funding back to our community – per year for the next ten years! That represents $20,000 per person over the next 10 years. This is money that we can use locally for health care, schools, roads and bridges, parks, senior services, and much more…
Ask everyone you talk to or see, “Have you been counted?” It’s that important!
When the federal government determines how much each city receives in funding it is often based on the numbers from the U.S. Census conducted every ten years. This is the year to be counted and represented for the next 10 years!
As many of us are Staying Home during this COVID-19 pandemic, please take this time NOW to complete your household 2020 Census questionnaire online at www.My2020Census.gov or call English: 844-330-2020 and Spanish: 844-468-2020.
