Join us for an important and timely event with the Cathedral City Police Department and Cathedral City Fire Department. This session will include a “Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events” (CRASE) course from the Texas State University Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training (ALERRT).
Event Details:
- Date: August 3, 2024
- Time: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- Location: Emergency Operations Center (EOC), 32100 Desert Vista Rd
The event will cover crucial topics to help you prepare and respond effectively in active shooter situations. These situations can erupt suddenly and resolve within 10 to 15 minutes, making it essential to know how to act swiftly and effectively. The brief window of response time is critical for making a significant difference, and bystanders often become the first line of defense for victims suffering from life-threatening bleeding.
Additionally, the event will feature the STOP THE BLEED® training, which empowers you to recognize and act quickly against bleeding emergencies. This training equips you with three essential techniques that could save a life.
RSVP: Please email Fireinfo@cathedralcity.gov to confirm your attendance.
This event is proudly supported by Cathedral City Fire, Dinner with Patsi, Cathedral City, Roadrunner Print and Ship, Altura Credit Union, and Cathedral City Police. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn life-saving skills and engage in important discussions with our local law enforcement and fire department.
