

Spring Fest: Celebrating Earth Day and Global Youth Service Day
Join us for Cathedral City’s Spring Fest on Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 8:30 AM to noon at Century Park. This family-friendly event combines the celebration of Earth Day and Global Youth Service Day with meaningful activities and educational opportunities for all ages.
Featured Activities:
- Walking for Water 6K: Experience the global water crisis firsthand by walking 6 kilometers while carrying 6 liters of water in a backpack, mirroring the daily reality for many people worldwide. Participants receive a free backpack!
- Pop-up Exhibits from The S.C.R.A.P. Gallery showcasing environmental art and education
- Cathedral City Library Booth offering crafts and interactive activities
- Environmental Education Booths with information on sustainability practices
- “Get The Buzz on Bees!” Art Contest highlighting the importance of pollinators
- Sunny Sands Elementary Sustainability Squad demonstrations and activities
Explore all the activities and enter for a chance to win a bicycle! This community event brings together local organizations including the Cathedral City Rotary Club, Sunny Sands Elementary, Cathedral City “Bee the Change” initiative, Riverside County Library System, and Global Youth Service Day partners.
