At the City Council meeting held on March 11th, the Cathedral City Fire Department and the City Council recognized Mr. Michael Guzman and Mr. Jose Macias for their life saving CPR work conducted on a student athlete who went into cardiac arrest while playing soccer on January 24, 2020. These two gentlemen were able to provide CPR until Cathedral City Fire Department arrived and provided Advance Life Support measures until she arrived at a local hospital.
We are happy to report that the student athlete has made a full recovery thanks to these two individuals and our wonderful first responders.
