The “Free Summer Kids Movie Series” from the Cathedral City Parks and Community Events Commission (PACE), in partnership with the Mary Pickford Theatre, is experiencing record crowds in 2023. Exactly 500 attendees so far have enjoyed a free movie during the first four weeks of the program.
The Cathedral City Parks and Community Events Commission is also offering free water and a small popcorn for the first fifty kids at each event during the 8-week period. The cost for this participation is $450 from the FY 2022-2023 PACE Small Events Budget, which was approved by the City Council at the regular meeting on Wednesday, May 24, 2023.
