Costume Charity Bed Race – Easter Weekend – Registration Is Now Available
The Cathedral City LGBT Days’ Costume Charity Bed Race offers you or your organization an opportunity to raise money for a charity of your choice while having a fun, zany time. This event is open to civic groups, community based organizations, volunteer groups, employee groups, friends, not-so-close friends, and neighbors – basically any group of 5 fun people that can fill-out an application, sign the waiver, and can produce $75 for the entry fee.
• Teams of 5 individuals (4 bed pushers, 1 bed rider)
• Team members must be 18 years of age or older
• You pick your theme (i.e…Sci-Fi, Public Safety, Drag, Oompa Loompas, Super Heroes, etc.)
• You pick the charity of your choice to raise money
• Win Prizes for:
1. Fastest time
2. Second fastest time
3. Best decorated / theme
4. Honorable mention for the worst time
5. Team having the most fun & not caring about time
Bed Race occurs on Saturday, April 4th at 10:00 am in Downtown Cathedral City.
Race Course:
The Bed Race begins at the Rainbow Arch Crosswalk on George Montgomery Trail in Downtown Cathedral City and will travel north to Avenida Lalo Guerrero, make a right turn on Avenida Lalo Guerrero, go past City Hall, and then turn left at Pickfair Street in front of the Mary Pickford Theatre and continue north to the finish line on Pickfair Street near City Hall’s employee parking lot.
