Here is an update to the temporary road closures in Cathedral City:
Varner Road – from Gene Autry Trail/Date Palm Drive east to Mountain View Road – Open to all traffic.
Varner Road – closed to regular traffic, but open to waste disposal trucks from Mountain View Road east to Edom Hill Road.
Varner Road – closed to all traffic from Edom Hill Road east to the Cathedral City limits near Thousand Palms.
Crews are working and hope to open Varner Road between Mountain View Road to Edom Hill Road to all traffic by tomorrow evening. They also anticipate opening tomorrow night, Varner Road from Date Palm Drive east to the City limits near Thousand Palms.
Varner Road between Edom Hill Road to Date Palm Drive has extensive levels of mud/silt/sand to remove and is not expected to open until late this week or early next week.
