Jurassic Wonders Instagram Photo Contest Starts June 10th
Winner receives a private movie showing at the Mary Pickford Theatre for up to 20 people
The Cathedral City Public Arts Commission is hosting a Jurassic Wonders Photo Contest this summer in celebration of Universal Studio’s Jurassic World Dominion movie being released on June 10th. To enter this Instagram photo contest, contestants must post creative photos of the Jurassic Wonders art sculptures located within Downtown Cathedral City [Southeast corner of East Palm Canyon Drive (HWY 111) and West Buddy Rogers Avenue]. Each Instagram submission must tag Mary Pickford Theatre, Museum of Ancient Wonders, and Cathedral City Public Arts Commission (@MaryPickfordTheatre, @MuseumOfAncientWonders, @CatCityPAC) in order to be entered into the contest. Those with private Instagram accounts may send screenshots of Instagram posts via direct message to CatCityPAC.
Photos submitted must be family-friendly and include at least one of the Jurassic Wonders dinosaurs located in Downtown Cathedral City. A photo will be disqualified if it includes someone touching one of the Jurassic Wonders dinosaurs or if the person is photographed inside the dinosaur corral. Photos will be accepted if posted between June 10, 2022, and July 31, 2022. The contest is open to the public, including amateur and professional photographers. The Cathedral City Public Arts Commission and Mary Pickford Theater will review all properly posted photo submissions and select the winners. The winners will be announced by the second week of August 2022.
The grand prize includes a private movie show for up to 20 people at the Mary Pickford Theatre. This private showing will include free soda and popcorn and must be redeemed within two months from the announcement of the grand prize winner. The winners will be announced by the second week of August 2022. The second-place prize will be a movie studio-sponsored prize pack and two passes to the Museum of Ancient Wonders. The third-place prize will be four passes to the Museum of Ancient Wonders and a personally-guided tour with the Museum Director.
