KMIR (NBC) Meteorologist Geoff Fox Broadcasting LIVE in Downtown Cathedral City – Friday Evening
The Cathedral City Hot Air Balloon Festival begins Saturday morning at 7 am. However, KMIR’s Meteorologist Geoff Fox will broadcast his weather report LIVE on Friday evening for the 5 pm and 6 pm newscast at the new Festival Lawn in Downtown Cathedral City among 3 hot air balloons. The broadcast will promote this weekend’s Cathedral City Hot Air Balloon Festival including the highly anticipated “Balloon Glow” featuring 20 scheduled hot air balloons lighting up to music.
If you plan to attend the weekend activities, make sure to allow more time than normal to arrive as traffic may be congested.
Limited Pay/VIP Parking will be available for $7 at the Parking Structure and free general parking will be available on the vacant lots east of the Mary Pickford Theatre.
