Senate Bill 29 was recently passed and signed by the governor requiring all voters to receive a mailed ballot from county registrar’s offices for any election in 2021, similar to the General Election back in November 2020. Riverside County’s Registrar of Voters Office has mailed ballots to every registered voter in Cathedral City for this Tuesday, March 2, 2021 Special Election on Measure B, the Short-Term Vacation Rental Regulation Measure.
If approved by Cathedral City voters, Measure B would uphold all provisions of Ordinance 842– the recently enacted Short-Term Vacation Rental (STVR’s) regulations and restrictions adopted by the City in response to resident complaints and concerns about improving neighborhood safety and addressing the impacts of STVRs.
Once you have filled out your Measure B Ballot, you can mail it back (postmarked on or before March 2, 2021 and must be received by March 5, 2021), or you can drop it off at the following locations:
Monday, March 1, 2021 from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm – City Hall, First Floor, 68-700 Avenida Lalo Guerrero, Cathedral City
Tuesday, March 2, 2021 from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm at the following polling locations:
- Northgate Church, 300-10 Date Palm Drive, Cathedral City
- Cathedral City Library, Community Room, 33520 Date Palm Drive, Cathedral City
