Monthly Shredding Event in Downtown Cathedral City Canceled for February Due to Taste of Jalisco Festival

The monthly document shredding event normally scheduled for this Saturday, February 1, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at 68700 Avenida Lalo Guerrero is canceled due to the Taste of Jalisco Festival. The monthly shredding service will resume on Saturday, March 1, 2025.

When the service resumes, Cathedral City residents can bring their sensitive documents, including legal documents, medical records, financial statements, tax records, and more for secure on-site shredding. Residents can witness the entire shredding process to ensure their documents are securely destroyed.

This free service makes it easy to protect your identity and safely dispose of sensitive materials. Documents can be brought in boxes or plastic bags, and there’s no need to remove paper clips, staples, file folders, or binder clips.

Please note the following requirements:

  • Service is limited to Cathedral City residents only
  • Proof of residency is required
  • Limit of 5 banker-sized boxes per resident or household
  • No businesses allowed

It’s recommended to arrive early, as the event ends once the shredding truck reaches capacity.

We appreciate your understanding regarding the February cancellation. For more information, please call (760) 770-0369 or email dpressgrove@cathedralcity.gov.
