The City Council called for a Special All-Mail Ballot Election for District 1 to be held on August 27, 2019 in order to fill the vacant seat created by the passing of the late Mayor Gregory Pettis. All ballots will need to be postmarked on or before August 27, 2019 and be received within three days of the election date. The website page, http://www.cathedralcity.gov/government/city-clerk/special-all-mail-ballot-election-2019, will serve as a central location to find current Special Election 2019 Information and final results. It will be updated on a regular basis.
Nomination Period for candidates starts today on May 6, 2019 and will close on May 30, 2019 for any qualified person desiring to file for this office.
