On November 3, 2020, residents living in City Council Districts 1 and 2 will vote for their representative to serve on the city council for the next four years.
In District 1, the qualified candidates are City Councilmember Rita Lamb who is seeking re-election and Alan Carvalho.
In District 2, the qualified candidates are J.R. Corrales and Nancy Ross. Listed in a previous news story was Paul Marchand, who was waiting for qualifications. Since Thursday, he did not receive his qualifications from the Riverside County Registrar of Voters by the deadline, and therefore, will not be on the ballot.
On May 8, 2020, Governor Gavin Newsom issued Executive Order N-64-20, which orders that a vote-by-mail ballot be mailed to each voter prior to the November 3, 2020 in addition to offering in-person voting locations to be announced at a later date.
Additionally, October 19, 2020 is the last day to register to vote or transfer registration for the November 3, 2020 election. Voter registration cards are available at City Hall. Voter registration is also available on the Riverside County Registrar of Voters website at www.voteinfo.net.
