The City of Cathedral City is excited to launch a new CodeRED community notification system, designed to provide residents important information about city services. The City can activate the notification system for street sweeping notifications, road construction projects, garbage and recycling service updates, or other incidents with broad public impact.
To sign up to receive free notifications from the City’s community notification system, text CITYALERTS to 24639. You will receive a link to the CodeRED webpage where you can sign up for notifications. You can select which notifications you’d like to receive and add your preferred methods of communication.
The City-Wide Sweeping Program will be the first topic residents will be able to receive notifications about through CodeRED. Private streets, unimproved streets, and gated communities are not included in this program. If you are not familiar with the streets in Cathedral City, or need additional help determining which day your street will be swept, please feel free to contact us at publicworks@cathedralcity.gov.

CodeRED is a web-based community notification system that provides local governments the security to send information and urgent notifications to residents and businesses over phone, text message and email. This system provides quick communication with thousands of residents within minutes.
This is a free service to all City of Cathedral City residents and businesses. Whenever you sign up with a managed account, you can select from several different languages for your notifications. Simply select your preferred language at sign-up.
