S.C.R.A.P. Gallery Receives Donation of Selected Works and Studio From Award-Winning Artist Lauretta Lowell

S.C.R.A.P. Gallery – The Art Museum for the Environment announced recently that it received an unprecedented gift from acclaimed mixed media artist Lauretta Lowell. Lowell has donated an extensive collection of recycled materials, found objects, and whimsical artworks.

Lowell is an award-winning mixed-media assemblage artist. Her contribution to the arts is to unite the past and present with her Paintings and Mixed Media Art that harvest relics of the early twentieth century with our expectations for cerebral sculptures and wall art today.

“This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity for S.C.R.A.P. Gallery to receive these materials and art pieces from Lauretta Lowell,” said Karen Riley, Executive Director of S.C.R.A.P. Gallery. “We are excited to exhibit her work and share with students the creative and educational possibilities through her generous donation of her studio materials.”

S.C.R.A.P. Gallery will establish a new section with their facility featuring Lowell’s donation, with a debut on Feb. 24, 2024.
