The City Council approved the resurfacing of several major streets in Cathedral City including Ramon Road from Date Palm Drive to Landau Boulevard. Although this major thoroughfare was completely reconstructed about five to six years ago, the timed resurfacing project is considered proper maintenance to allow the street to last as long as twenty years.  Total cost estimated to complete the project ranges between $313,400 to $360.400.
Another major resurfacing project discussed last night was Cathedral Canyon Drive from Terrace Avenue to Perez Road. Staff plans to use Assessment District and street funds to improve this road as well as portions of streets D, E, F, and Van Fleet.
Both projects are slated to begin in November and would take approximately six working days to complete.
