This afternoon, Cathedral City reopened all roads, including Varner Road, that were affected by Monday, September 8th flash flood that struck the Coachella Valley.
However, Varner Road east of Date Palm Road will remain blocked to through traffic due to Varner Road being closed at the City Limit with Thousand Palms as Riverside County continues the clean-up process there. As soon as the County has finished cleaning up Varner Road in its jurisdiction, Cathedral City will reopen that section of Varner Road to all traffic.
