- “Portraits” by Baroness Ilona von Ronay
The Cathedral City Public Arts Commission proudly presents an Opening Reception with remarks by local philanthropist Ms. Peggy Cravens for “Portraits” by Austrian Baroness Ilona von Ronay to be held in the lobby of Cathedral City’s Civic Center, 68-700 Avenida Lalo Guerrero, September 24, 2015 from 6 pm to 7 pm. The reception is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be available including apple strudel prepared according to an Austrian family recipe by Chef Hector Salvatierra of Bontá Restaurant. -
Cathedral City Police Department’s “Meet and Greet”
Bring the family and come meet the men and women of the Cathedral City Police Department who serve and protect our community. Refreshments will be provided including free pizza as well as a static display of police equipment. -

Join friends, neighbors, and the Queen of Camp – Miss Jersey Shore for Throwback Thursdays featuring the iconic film, “Steel Magnolias” starring Sally Field, Dolly Parton, Shirley MacLaine, Daryl Hannah, Olympia Dukakis, Julia Roberts, Tom Skerritt, Dylan McDermott, Kevin J. O’Connor, and Sam Shepard.
Jersey Shore will host in her hysterical fashion, a cocktail hour/mixer prior to the movie at Bontá Restaurant & Bar adjacent to the Desert Cinemas UltrMAX Theatre from 6pm to 7pm, and then, at Desert Cinemas UltraMAX – the iconic movie at 7 pm with her hilarious commentary – all on the largest screen in the entire Coachella Valley.
