In addition to Cathedral City LGBT Days (March 25-27), there are two more important LGBTQ+ Days to recognize during the month of March. They include:
March 20 (1st Day of Spring): National Native HIV/AIDS Awareness Day
On the first day of spring each year, we are encouraged to spotlight the National Native HIV/AIDS Awareness Day that brings awareness to the fact that HIV/AIDS affects everyone including Native people. American Indians across the United States are urged to get informed, get tested, get involved in prevention and get treated for HIV. To learn more, go to www.NNHAAD.org.
March 31: Transgender Day of Visibility
The Transgender Day of Visibility happens throughout the world to highlight the resilience and accomplishments of the transgender community. It is a day to recognize the contribution, successes, and the many barriers that transgender people overcome in their journey towards equality.
