Watch the following videos by Mayor John Aguilar and Councilmember Ernesto Gutierrez as they stress the importance of completing your U.S. Census questionnaire, if you have not already done so. Mayor Aguilar’s video is in English and Councilmember Gutierrez offers his in Spanish.
The U.S. Census determines how much Cathedral City will receive in federal funding for healthcare, schools, parks, road and bridges, senior services and so much more. Each person counted in Cathedral City is estimated to bring $20,000 in federal funding back to our community over the next ten years! We pay our federal taxes and responding to the US Census is the most important step in getting our tax dollars returned to Cathedral City to help our community.
If you haven’t responded to the US Census, please take the time right now to complete your household questionnaire online at www.My2020Census.gov or by phone. It takes just a few minutes. For English, call 844-330-2020 and for Spanish, call 844-468-2020.
Remember, the information you provide is confidential for 72 years! All residents must be counted every 10 years including all children. Be Counted, Cathedral City!
