Volunteer to be on a Balloon Crew!
Volunteers are needed to assist visiting balloon teams during the Cathedral City Hot Air Balloon Festival November 18-20, 2016. Volunteer balloon crew will help the pilot and balloon team set up the balloon, follow it in the chase vehicles and help pack up. You may volunteer as a single, couple, family, friends or a group. All ages and skill levels are welcome. Students may volunteer to help and earn community service hours.
You will have a fun and interesting experience, meet new friends and may be invited to take a flight. Plan to dress casually, and in layers and wear closed, flat shoes. Bring a pair of gloves if you have them. The flights take place in the early mornings Friday, Saturday and Sunday between 6:00-9:30 AM, and the Saturday night Balloon Glows between 5:00-8:30 PM. Volunteers will receive T-shirts and some food and beverages.
There is an informational meeting Tuesday, Nov. 15 in the council chambers at the Cathedral City Hall, located at 68700 Avenida Lalo Guerrero, Cathedral City at 7:00-8:00 PM.
